I've always driven by this place but never stopped in until yesterday. The place doesn't look like much from the outside but inside it's a cute diner feel. I decided to try Gunther's famous Reuben on marbled Rye with mustard. OMG it was absolutely deeelicious! We also ordered the onion rings, french fries, potato pancakes and the hot pastrami on sourdough. The fries are fries- crispy and fluffy thick cut and the onion rings were crispy with a thinner batter. I loved them. Everything was equally bomb but we'd pass on the potato pancakes next time. They're more pancakey than potato-y. I now regret not stopping in sooner but I'm so glad that I finally did! The staff were all very delightful too. Will def. be back!

Our Dad's funeral/life reception was catered by Gunther's in August and I can't thank the staff enough for their help. The food was wonderful (steak tips, chicken, salads, sides, cookies) and guests were impressed. But I have to draw extra attention to details that make a difference: the staff knew the best way to set up the church reception hall in a way that made everyone comfortable. They provided tablecloths, arranged our photos and flowers, and were very attentive in their service help. Shout out to Steve Gunther for listening to what our family was trying to achieve in the set up (room for mariachis). Everything - the food and ambience - created for a true celebration of our Dad's life!

Yeah, so, this is a place you take your Auntie, Mom or Grandmother GiGi to for a hearty meal or where you go when you want large portions, friendly staff. If you are looking for some good comfort food served with an extra scoop of luv this place is for you. I highly recommend the Ruben on marble rye and get both mustard and thousands island on it. The onion rings are some of the best, and the fries are always freshly cut. I will definitely go back & I hope to see you there too!

Always a crowd pleaser, they never disappoint. I love the Rueben but enjoy the schnitzel as well. Friendly service, great food and delicious, I mean THE BEST, chocolate chip cookies. Very expensive but very worth it. I don't like a thick cookie, but this cookie was ethereal.

Literally eating their Friday Goulash right now, while my kid has the blintzes. This stuff is so good!!! Their stews and soups are incredible.

Tried the pastrami sandwich and it was very good! Also tried the chocolate chip cookie and it was delicious! I will definitely return to try other items that have on their menu.

They have the best chocolate chip cookies! They are addictively gooey & doughy cookie goodness.

Great Reuben, great cookies, nice staff. The Reuben is loaded with great proportions and cheese- you won't be able to finish the whole thing in one sitting. The cookies are scoops of goodness, perfectly baked.

This review is just for the cookie since I haven't had anything else there. Heaven in a box! The best chocolate chip cookie I have EVER HAD!!!!
